It has been such a fantastic first several weeks of school in the Ortega Art Studio! My young artists are such creative art makers and inspire me every single day.
Each grade level has been creating their sketchbooks and are now studying the art elements of line and shape. They are using their knowledge of line and shape to create collaborative art pieces inspired by some wonderful artists. Below are just a few examples of what they have been up to lately!

The above top two pieces are 3rd and 4th grade collaborative paintings inspired by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. And the above third piece is a result of said paintings all chopped up into geometric shapes and glued together! It is inspired by Columbian artist Olga de Amaral.
